8th December 2007 - Monnington Herrick comes to Landside
Monnington Herrick arrived at Landside to spend his 'retirement'. Hopefully he may make an appearance at one of the shows in 2008...
Herrick settled in very quickly and loves his new home. He is a perfect gentleman in every way and is still fully of energy and a big 'show off' even at the the age of 21.
Herrick will be standing for limited stud at Landside - see more details here.
31st October 2007 - Halloween 2007!
Halloween 2007 at Landside was very, very scary - some of the singing on the karaoke was anyway!
It was a great party as always and thanks again to Anne and all for organising it

27th October 2007 - Landside Masterpiece (Myson)
Sadly, we lost Landside Masterpiece today at the age of 16. Myson has sired many great offspring and will be sorely missed by all of us at Landside.
14th October 2007 - Landside Mannequin does it again!
After winning a bronze medal in the world driving championships in Denmark earlier this year, Sara Howe with Landside Mannequin won the first advanced pony championship at the British Horse Driving Trials Association (BHDTA) national championships at Catton Hall, Derbyshire (21-23rd September). Well done to both of you! This snippet is taken from the Horse & Hound magazine (Oct 4th).
22nd September 2007 - Amy's BMHS Youth Scholarship trip to America
We're all very proud (and jealous!) of Amy Harris, winning the BMHS Youth Scholarship award.
The prize - a month's trip to America over summer, staying with some of the top trainers at their barns in New England, and seeing some Morgan horse shows.

8th - 9th September 2007 - European Champ Show
Landside took out a 7 strong horse team to the 2007 European Champ Show. Well done especially to Charlotte and Bertie for winning the Hunter Championship.

8th July 2007 - Unique and Celebrity come to live at Landside
Landside Morgans would like to welcome Monnington Unique (dob 1999 Charlestown Supersonic x Saddleback Spitfire) and her daughter Monnington Celebrity (X Key Biscayne dob 2005)
Both girls have settled well and are already well loved by everyone. Unique will be ridden this year in the Pleasure classes by Louisa (and Liam also, just off lead-line).
Celebrity will be Aga's new project and is doing well with her training.
Thank you to Monnnington for allowing us to purchase these two wonderful horses.

25th June 2007 - Charlotte buys BFM Duke's Debonair
Congratulations to Charlotte Andrews who has bought her first horse, a Morgan by the name of 'Bertie'.
Charlotte has been training Bertie for the last few months at Landside and fell in love with him straight away.
We hope you have lots of happy and successful years together, and we are all glad he's stopping at Landside!

2nd June 2007 - BMHS American All Breeds Spring Show
The BMHS Spring Show at Moreton Morrell was switched to Monnington Court at the last minute this year (thanks to all involved for rearranging so fast!). The turn-out was good, the weather and atmosphere great - everybody enjoyed the weekend.

26th May 2007 - Goodbye Mr Darcy
All at Landside were sorry to see Mr Darcy go, but are sure that he will have a great future with his new owner June, from Malvern.
22nd May 2007 - Copper (Paint it Black), 1976-2007
Sadly, Copper passed away today, at the ripe old age of 31 years. Copper was much loved at Landside for his cheeky character and has taught many youth to ride. He was a very successful showjumping pony in his younger days, even competing at Royal International. Looking at his pictures, you can see that he was always up to mischief.

9th December 2006 - Landside welcome Monnington Charade
Bryn, Gina, Liam, Clare and Charlotte travelled to Monnington to pick up Liam's new horse Charade.
31st October 2006 - Halloween Party!
We had our traditional Halloween party at Landside, thanks again to Anne and Walter..
The setting was perfect. Anne, Aga and Amy really went to town decorating the house with spiders, cobwebs etc with spooky music in the background. Everyone got in the spirit by dressing up in scary outfits. We had a buffet meal including home made pumpkin soup, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, strawberries, bananas and grapes and punch (with a kick) to drink.
Activities included apple bobbing, vaulting on two very well behaved and patient horses, Fly and Harmony, and dancing (to every cheesey 80's song you can think of).

2nd October 2006 - Sara Howe and Landside Mannequin win at Windsor
Congratulations from all at Landside to Sara Howe, who claimed her first national single pony title with Priceless (Landside Mannequin) at the National Carriage Driving Championships in Windsor, with a featured article in the Horse & Hounds magazine
17th September 2006 : Precious backed and driven all in 1 week!
Landside Miss Dynamite (Precious) was both backed and driven for the first time this week and obviously enjoyed both experiences and behaved wonderfully. Read more and see lots of pictures of her first drive here.
10th September 2006 : Landside welcome BFM Duke's Debonair
Thank you Dawn Borthwick for letting us have the use of 2 yr old Duke over the next few months. Duke has a very friendly personality and loves to be worked!

2nd July 2006 : Birthday Celebrations and Driving
We had a great day on Sunday, having a BBQ and chocolate fountain to celebrate the birthdays of Gina (Friday) and Anne (Saturday).
We also took Marty out for a little drive up the lane. Marty braved thunder, lightning, mopeds and goats and was not fazed by it all!

We picked up Lisa's birthday present on Sunday in the shape of Starwood Sunshine. Many thanks to Chris and Les Reading for letting her go to a new home. They were very sad to see her go, but they know that Sunny will be well looked after and much loved by all.

4th June 2006 : Artist - Kathy Brooks
Kathy Brooks, an artist from Southport found Landside Morgans on the web and asked Anne if she could come down and take some pictures of our horses with a view to painting one. A few Sundays ago, Kathy came to Landside and we showed off some of the horses in the school. Kathy returned to Landside on 4th June with a fantastic painting of Landside Marty McFly.

4th June 2006 : Westhoughton Show
We decided we would take 3 of our Morgans - Landside Marty McFly, Monnington Aspire & Landside Moondancer to the local show to promote the breed.
Heads were turned as these up-headed gleaming horses stepped into the collecting ring. A lot of people enquired about these beautiful horses as they paraded around the ring.
4th June 2006 : Mr Darcy (4 weeks old today) has first day at school!
My Darcy had his first outing in the school on Sunday. As you will see from the pictures, we think he enjoyed himself!

The annual Convention, AGM and Dinner dance took place at the Three Counties Hotel in Hereford. This was a well organised event and a great time was had by all (as you can see from the pictures...). Landside Morgans won the best turned out farm award :)
